Well  I was born 13 March 1950, My grandmother had come down from Northumberland to help my mum, only I was late and she was in danger of her train tickets expiring, a good dose of castor oil sorted that out and I duly arrived in time for lunch. We moved from Battersea when I was about 2, my parents were going to buy a house boat at Hampton, Middlesex but I changed their minds for them, I was standing by the edge of the river, well I was one minute, next I was under the water, Dad who can't swim jumped in and managed to save me. So a house in Chessington, Surrey was the answer. We lived there for 9 years and then moved to Thames Ditton.

At 18 I got married and after my daughter was born we moved to Worthing, 2 sons followed then after 15 years marriage I divorced. I played squash, badminton enjoyed walking (have walked the south downs way a few times) and running. I started running to get a bit fitter for squash but got hooked, I would run a 1/2 marathon nearly every month, I did the London marathon twice, Great north run and the Marrakesh marathon which was amazing. I got M.E. and could not run for a couple of years after and never got back into it. Ran off to America and got married again 10 years ago, took early retirement 3 years ago and spend my time on the allotment, doing family history and being with my grandchildren, oh yes and I'm going to start getting fit next week,honest.
